Fantastic Planet had its beginning in Richmond, VA at local bar Ipanema Cafe and was the concept of DJ Doddie, along with DJ Moses, and DJ Easy Bee. The monthly event was an outlet for the three DJ's to play a wide variety of music for their friends at their favorite bar. It has since become an institution in its own right in RVA nightlife. With the success of Fantastic Planet, the crew decided that it was a good time to expand and establish a FP chapter in Virginia Beach as well. With the help of the Noah Larmz Crew and the Jewish Mother, the first FanPlan at the Beach was held on September 5, 2008.

The Virginia Beach chapter of FanPlan is an event that you do not want to miss. As a party that isn't pigeon-holed into any specific genre or scene, FP is an open event that caters to anyone who is willing to have a good time. Each party features DJ Wizard aka Doddie (resident) along-side different well established and up-and-coming djs, acts, and musicians mixed with random happenings, guest appearances, lots of dancing.

DJ's and performers have included DJ JC/DC, DJ EYECUE, DJ Disko Dave, Ced Highes and DJ Berk, Aries Connection, DJ Long Jawns, and DJ Mike Rizzy, with more to come!
